Figma to App Store Screenshots: A Clean Workflow for 2026

Figma is where screenshots get made and also where they silently break. Here's a workflow that keeps them sane.

Designing screenshots in Figma is easy. Getting them exported correctly for the App Store โ€” right pixel dimensions, sRGB, no alpha โ€” takes a little discipline.

File structure

One frame per screenshot, at the final pixel size. A parent page per device class (iPhone, iPad, Play Store phone). Don't mix sizes in one page.

Export settings

  • 2x on 645 ร— 1398 base frames for iPhone 6.7-inch โ€” gets you 1290 ร— 2796.
  • PNG, sRGB, no alpha for App Store uploads.
  • JPG ok for Play Store if file size matters.

Naming

iphone-6-7-home.png, iphone-6-7-features.png. Never "Screenshot 1.png". Future-you needs to know what each file is.
